DESCRIPTION
This product is created in association with designs from the students of Takefu Commercial and Technical High School. It is designed with inspiration from Lady Murasaki Shikibu, to whom our founding location in Fukui Prefecture, Echizen City, is proudly connected.
A dress that incorporates into axes femme's feminine motifs the elegance of traditional Japanese styles.
Its striking, extravagant pattern draws all eyes -- a chic, grandiose black canvas on which a plethora of wisterias bloom.
During the Heian period (A.D. 794-1185), the purple wisteria (fuji) are regarded as flowers of the color of nobility, and is a prominent theme handled with great care within The Tale of Genji, one of the earliest Japanese classic literature which Murasaki Shikibu is known for as the author. It is also said that the "Murasaki" in her name may have been given in correspondence with this noble purple.
The neckline is a cache-coeur design that evokes the image of a kimono, creating a beautiful V-shape that can be further enhanced with high-neck or ornamental inner tops.
It also comes with a full elastic waistband for a comfortable fit.
Adding your favorite belts is also recommended.
With a patchwork of lace on the skirt, this dress will enrapture you in its timeless atmosphere of feminine elegance.
